The diversity and quantity of Amazonian plants and flowers are a beauty apart for those visiting the Amazon and Flor Pará Cocoa and Chocolate Fair at the Hangar in Belém.

Organized by the Government of the State of Pará and the Faepa/Senar System (Federation of Agriculture and Livestock of Pará/National Rural Learning Service), the Fair brings together hundreds of producers and exhibitors of flowers and floral arrangements.

Flower producer, João Cordeiro

One of these producers is João Ferreira from Morena Flor, who cultivates flowers in Santa Bárbara do Pará, in the Araci locality. "My story begins with my mother who planted inside a PET bottle and then sold them. We formed a first group of family farming, Florarte. She bought some little plants to sell at Flor Pará. Then we built the first greenhouse and everything grew. Today, we are grateful because through Flor Pará, we achieved all of this," he says.

Variety - Those who come to the Cocoa and Chocolate Fair will find various species of plants and flowers, such as the famous Jibóias, Sword of Saint George, Monstera, and Desert Rose. Visitor Maria Benedita da Costa has already bought hers. “The flowers are a success! I loved them and already bought some. The fair is a success!” she reveals.

Blue Fern

There are options for those who like more unique products, such as the blue fern, which exudes exuberance, as well as terrariums. Price options range from seedlings at R$ 5 to more mature plants at R$ 60. What will not be lacking is diversity.

Joice Rodrigues, visitor of the Fair

Visitor Joice Rodrigues always comes to the Fair and highlights the diversity of products found. “What is cool about these fairs is the diversity. We find a very large diversity of producers, from small companies to large companies. I think it is very important to bring this to the community. And, in addition, there are cultural presentations and shows,” she emphasizes.

The Amazon and Flor Pará Cocoa and Chocolate Fair remains open until next Sunday (8), at the Hangar Convention Center from 4 PM to 10 PM. Free entry.
